The Giza Higher Institute of Engineering and Technology is considered one of the leading institutions in the field of higher engineering education. The institute was established in 2007 according to the Law of the Arab Republic of Egypt No. (52) of (1970), based on Ministerial Decree No. (2521) dated (13/9/2007), which was granted to the Future of Egypt Association for Science, Technology, and Development, allowing studies to commence starting from the academic year (2007/2008) in the fields of industrial, chemical, and materials engineering.
In order to provide the best specializations in the field of engineering educational services, the Board of Directors of the association and the Board of Directors of the institute worked diligently to achieve this goal. As a result, Ministerial Decree No. (3856) was issued on (3/2/2008) to change the institute's specializations to architectural, industrial, and communications and electronics engineering. In 2009, the institute received Ministerial Decree No. (3899) dated (28/12/2009) to finalize the specializations to be (civil engineering, architectural engineering, and communications and electronics engineering).
