The Journal of Engineering Advances and Technologies for Sustainable Applications (JEATSA) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published quarterly by Giza Engineering Institute, Egypt. The journal is intended to publish high-quality research articles in all engineering disciplines.

  • Languages of Publication: The journal accepts and publishes manuscripts in both English and Arabic, provided they meet the journals scope and adhere to all editorial and peer-review standards.
  • Publication Access and Fees:JEATSA is published in both print and online versions. All articles are made freely accessible online immediately upon publication.

  • Plagiarism Policy: JEATSA enforces a strict anti-plagiarism policy. All submitted manuscripts are screened using professional plagiarism-detection software. Any manuscript found to contain plagiarism or an unacceptable similarity index will be rejected immediately.

The Journal of Engineering Advances and Technologies for Sustainable Applications (JEATSA) is a multidisciplinary journal that spans various engineering disciplines. Our mission is to support the engineering research community in sharing innovation, fostering multidisciplinary collaborations, and collectively creating a better future, with a particular focus on applied research. The journal will provide an inclusive, interdisciplinary platform where engineers, scientists, and professionals can present their innovations, featuring a rapid publication process and the opportunity to reach global audience with their work.

Use this checklist before submitting your manuscript to JEATSA to ensure completeness and compliance.

Author Details:
- One author is clearly marked as the corresponding author
- Includes email address
- Includes full postal address

1. Before You Begin

Declaration of Interest:
All authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence their work. Examples include: employment, consultancies, stock ownership, honoraria, expert testimony, patent applications/registrations, and grants or other funding.

Submission Declaration and Verification:
Submission implies that the manuscript:
- Has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
- Has been approved by all authors.
- Will not be published in another form without permission.

Inclusive Language:
Authors must use respectful, inclusive, and bias-free language. Avoid gendered terms and outdated expressions like master/slave” or blacklist/whitelist.” Mention personal characteristics only when relevant.

Changes to Authorship:
Requests must be submitted before acceptance and include:
- Reason for the change.
- Written confirmation from all authors involved.

2. Funding & Open Access

Role of the Funding Source:
Disclose any financial support and its role (if any) in study design, data analysis, or manuscript writing. If there was no involvement, state this explicitly.

JEATSA is an Open Access journal. All content is available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0)

3. Manuscript Submission

Submission Instructions:
Submit manuscripts through the online system. File requirements:
- Editable Word document (.doc/.docx)
- Figures/tables embedded in the correct locations
- 12 pt font, single spacing
- Max length: 10 pages (including figures and tables)

4. Manuscript Formatting & Structure

Figures and Tables Embedded in Text:
Place all figures and tables near their first mention in the manuscript. Captions must appear directly below.

Double-Anonymized Review:
Author and reviewer identities are hidden. Submit:
- Title Page (with author names, affiliations, acknowledgments, contact details)
- Main Manuscript (without identifying information)

Word Processing Guidelines:
Use .doc/.docx format with single-column layout. Avoid auto-formatting like justification or hyphenation. Use bold, italics, superscripts, subscripts as needed. Use tabs (not spaces) for alignment. Use spell-check and grammar-check before submission.

Article Structure:
Use numbered sections: 1., 1.1., 1.1.1., etc.

Introduction:
State objectives and provide essential background.

Materials and Methods:
Provide sufficient detail for reproducibility. Cite published methods and note modifications.

Theory/Calculation:
Describe theoretical foundations or calculations related to your work.

Results:
Present findings clearly and concisely.

Discussion:
Interpret the results; avoid repetition. Combined Results & Discussion is acceptable.

Conclusions:
Summarize key findings. May be standalone or part of Discussion.

Appendices:
Label multiple appendices A, B, C, etc. Use separate numbering within each appendix (e.g., Eq. A.1, Table A.1, Fig. A.1).


JEATSA follows the …………… referencing style. Authors should ensure:
- All references cited in the text are included in the reference list and vice versa.
- Citations are numbered in square brackets [1], [2], etc., in order of appearance.
- The reference list is numbered accordingly.


Use reference management tools like EndNote, Mendeley, or Zotero to maintain consistency.

5. Supplementary Materials

May include data files, images, videos, or slides. Submit with descriptive captions. Do not use tracked changes. Clearly label updated versions.

6. After Acceptance

Online Proof Correction:
Authors must return proofs within 2 days via an online proofing system or PDF. This step is for final edits only. Major content changes require editor approval.

All corrections should be submitted in a single response. Authors are responsible for final proofreading. Subsequent corrections cannot be guaranteed.

All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Engineering Advances and Technologies for Sustainable Applications (JEATSA) that meet the journals editorial standards are sent for external peer review. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers, selected by the editorial board based on their expertise.

JEATSA employs a double-blind peer review model, meaning that both the authors and the reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process. This approach is designed to eliminate potential biases related to the authorsidentity, affiliation, or prior publications, and ensures that manuscripts are assessed solely on their academic quality.

The journal is committed to a fair, objective, and timely review process. The double-blind system, combined with a diverse and independent editorial board, helps ensure that all publication decisions are based on the scientific merit of the work.

The Journal of Engineering Advances and Technologies for Sustainable Applications (JEATSA) is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct in scholarly publishing, in alignment with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors, editors, and reviewers are expected to follow the principles below: Reporting Standards: Authors must present an accurate account of the work performed and an objective discussion of its significance. The manuscript should include sufficient detail and references to allow others to replicate the study. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements are unethical and unacceptable.

  • Data Access and Retention: Authors may be asked to provide the raw data related to their study for editorial review and should be prepared to make it publicly available, when feasible, and to retain it for a reasonable period after publication.
  • Originality and Acknowledgment of Sources: Authors must ensure that submitted work is entirely original and that any use of otherswork is properly cited or quoted. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given.
  • Plagiarism: Plagiarism in all its forms is unacceptable. This includes copying another's work, paraphrasing significant portions without attribution, or claiming results from others' research. All submitted manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using professional software. Manuscripts with high similarity indexes will be rejected immediately.
  • Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication:Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously. Publishing the same research in more than one journal or publication constitutes unethical behavior.
  • Confidentiality: Information obtained during the peer review process must be treated as confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers and editors must not share or misuse unpublished materials from submitted manuscripts.
  • Authorship of the Paper: Authorship should include only those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have seen and approved the final manuscript and have agreed to its submission.
